Dogs are at the core of my life. I’m a pet parent to 8 dogs, most of whom are rescues. Dog grooming is my full-time profession, but on my days off, you’ll find me immersed in dog-related events.

You might spot me at local dog shows, grooming show dogs of various breeds or exhibiting my beloved wire fox terriers. As a preservation breeder of wire fox terriers, I have a profound love for this breed.

If I’m not at a show, I could be mentoring new groomers or teaching grooming workshops. And when I’m not doing any of those, you’ll likely find me paddleboarding with my furry companions – after all, if they’re not going, neither am I!

My Dog Grooming Journey

I embarked on my dog grooming career in 2011 after graduating from the Florida Institute of Animal Arts. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to continuous education, ensuring I provide the best possible care for pets. My credentials include:

  • AKC Salon Safe Certification
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • National Certified Master Groomer (National Dog Grooming Association)

I’ve competed in top-level grooming competitions nationwide and earned the title of an award-winning dog groomer. My expertise lies in hand stripping, and I specialize in this technique for terriers and other sporting breeds.

The Grooming Experience

To me, pet grooming is much more than just making a pet look cute. It’s about creating a bond and trust, as grooming is a necessity for the dog’s overall health. I groom each dog as if it were my own, prioritizing their comfort and happiness above all else.

As a fellow dog lover, I understand the difficulty of leaving your pet with someone new in an unfamiliar environment. Clear communication is crucial, and you can expect honest dialogue from me throughout the grooming process. I maintain an open-door policy with all my clients.

My Core Values

Responsibility, empathy, compassion, dedication, and a commitment to education are the core values that guide every aspect of my work at Devoir Pet Salon. The name “Devoir” comes from the French word for “responsibility,” reflecting my dedication to caring for animals with respect and kindness. Your pet’s well-being is always my top priority.
